The Maserati brand proudly touts its performance and luxury. After a century of producing superior vehicles, it has earned the right to brag every now and then. A person will see innumerable necks crane just to catch a final glimpse of a Ghibli, Gran Turismo, or Quattroporte. From the curvy, muscular frame to the marquee Trident, every feature captivates passers-by.
Forgive our candor, but Maserati owners are not bizarre recluses who purchase the car and stash it away in some hovel. When one buys from the Italian automaker, it would be a great disservice not to display it every now and then. Celebrated art is hung on the walls of museums, talented bands command the stages of concert halls, actors and actresses grace the movie screen and red carpet, and gorgeous cars should always take in a little admiration along a city street.
That is certainly what one Maserati owner accomplished in Dubai.
A gold-wrapped (24-karat) Gran Turismo was recently seen parked along the streets in the large United Arab Emirates city. This particular car not only sported the gold wrapping, it also wore gold rims and was adorned with a matte black pinstripe and Swarvoski crystals located on the tri-air vents, Maserati emblem, and in the rear trim.
Here is a walk-around video of the car itself. Tell us, do the modifications contribute to or detract from the grace and beauty of the Maserati Gran Turismo?
